Just Today

Yesterday, I had the pleasure of having an appointment with Dr. Merene Wong for the first time. Before I write my praises about this highly professional and wonderful person, let me start off with the person who answered the phone to me. Her name is Vivian and she took all my information down and was unbelievably patient and courteous. She didn't rush me off the phone as the other calls were sounding off in the background, and went out of her way to get me the appointment time that best suited me for the day. Such a wonderful and kind person to hear on the other end of the phone. When I went in for my appointment, there she was showing the exact same professional and kind manners that made me so glad I made the appointment. The office itself was so clean and welcoming....first thing they did was sanitize my hands which made me feel like they take this pandemic thing serious! I was extremely impressed with the overall cleanliness of the office and how they have highly reached the protocols in health measures that keep everyone safe. A++ rating for sure!! Another wonderful person there beside Vivian was Catherine. Exceptional and professional service came from Catherine as well....very thorough, kind, patient and courteous! Both of these wonderful people put up with me trying on all types of different glasses, giving me their professional opinions on how they thought I looked in them. Catherine had some good suggestions of glasses for me to try on and that really helped. Now on to Dr. Merene Wong. The moment she led me into the examination room, I was told that everything was sterilized and she told me she was going to wash her hands again in front of me, which she did. Not even my family medical doctor does that! I was so happy to see her do this and knew I would be in very good hands. Next she wiped down the eye apparatus in front of me, even though it had been sterilized prior....even more relief on my side. Because of Dr. Wong, I was able to sit back and relax, knowing I had nothing to worry about in terms of this office being clean and sterile. I would go on and on but I don't want to sound like I'm a clean freak....(which you're probably thinking I am....lol !!) My eye examination with Dr. Wong was something I have never experienced before in all my years! The level of knowledge and preciseness that exudes from this professional cannot be put into words, and I seriously mean it. She took the time to ensure that she checked everything that can be checked in an eye exam and explained everything with how my overall eye health is. Checking to see which prescription was best for me was an extreme goal for her and that really impressed me! Once the examination was done, I left the room with a new prescription and went on to select the glasses everyone, including myself, liked and best suited me prior to my examination. It's hard to tell if glasses look that good on someone when they're wearing a mask, but I really liked them and they concurred with me, which really helped! Prices were great for the glasses and the examination price was far less than what I had to pay! I would have paid a lot more for the service I received from this Doctor.
