Dr. Amy Chow

Dr. Amy Chow completed her Doctor of Optometry at the University of Waterloo, and is currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy by conducting research at the School of Optometry & Vision Science. She obtained her Honours Bachelor of Science from the University of Toronto, St. George campus studying neuroscience and physiology. As part of her clinical training, Dr. Chow underwent an externship in ocular disease and therapeutics at the Eye Associates of Pinellas in Pinellas Park, Florida, where she trained under eye surgeons in managing complex ocular diseases including macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, glaucoma and dry eye disease. Dr. Chow has received numerous teaching and research awards at the University of Waterloo.
Dr. Chow grew up in Richmond Hill, and speaks English and Cantonese. She enjoys providing comprehensive eye exams to patients of all ages, and particularly enjoys working with children. In her spare time, she enjoys tennis, hiking and travelling.
