Just had my eyes examined by Dr. Yu. I was very impressed and pleased with my examination....up to date technology and the office has a nice atmosphere and the staff is wonderful. I am great full that is Lumina eye care was recommended to me and now I am recommending this great place to you!

Very nice people, even the receptionist is very knowledgeable about eyes cares and very helpful in suggesting tips on how to take care of your eyes. Highly recommended if you are looking for a eyes doctor or looking for a pair of glasses

Oh my lord this place was amazing, the people and place. The inside looks pretty posh, unexpectedly higher end since it's a fairly newish store. They carry all the latest designs, the secretary also told me that you can call in and they can order a frame for you at a discount as well. The customer service as absolutely the best. I mean, they take their time and explain anything to you and welcome you very warmly. I came in and both the doctor and the secretary came to me and shook my hand! They are unbelievably kind. They are also not pushy at all, they leave you to do your own thing without trying to make you buy a frame or anything fancy. The coatings and stuff they provide factual information on but don't try to convince you to get it, instead they ask what situations you encounter and try to determine what's best for you. For the doctor (I forgot her name), she was absolutely amazing. She went through every step very easily and slowly so I could understand the process. She described even technical stuff to me (ie what each tool does or what she is doing and how it affects my vision). She spent her time and really cared about what my opinion was instead of saying "this one is better". She would wait for an answer without any rush. She would also describe what the numbers mean and the new vs old prescription and the differences between them. I was able to just call and come half hour later too which surprised me, they were very easily available. Honestly at first I saw 35 reviews with 5 star and I suspected it was 'paid reviews' since it looked kinda sketch (you know, it's never perfect) but after going here, I can tell you all of these reviews are genuine. I don't usually leave reviews but I had to for Lumina since I've had the best eye exam experience. 10/10 recommend it to anyone out there looking for some glasses or just an exam, gonna try to get my family to switch the them ASAP!

I have recently switched eye care professionals and found lumina through google and word of mouth. My experience thus far has been exceptional. The optometrist was very professional and was helpful in addressing my eye care needs. I was given samples and trials of products that were useful to me and helped me to make decisions about my contact lens use. The receptionist/technician Samantha is a delight. She is wonderful at her job and goes above and beyond to ensure client service is met to the highest standard. She sends me reminders, notifications and manages all billings and insurance elememts for me on a prompt basis. I cannot speak highly enough about Lumina Eye Care. Daniel

100% Great Service, They do provide Visual Field Test . Super friendly staff is a plus. The layout of the store is really unique For sure I will go back to them for my next eyes exam

It is always a pleasure to have an eye examination with Dr Joanna Yu. She is very thorough with her procedures and takes her time to explain the results of the examination. The equipment that she uses is very sophisticated. And last but not least, Samantha, the receptionist/technician is always very courteous, helpful and accommodating. I would definitely recommend Lumina Eye Care with Dr Yu to my family, friends and colleagues.

My husband and I were very impressed with the thorough examination, excellent professional care, and warm, friendly manner of Dr. Maggie Fung. The technician, Samantha, took great care with the necessary preliminary work required as a part of our eye examinations. She also showed much patience with us as we selected our frames from their wide selection. We chose Tiffany and Burberry. On our second visit to pick up our new glasses, I was so happy to meet Dr. Joanne Yu again. She was the reason I went to Lumina Eye Care. She had been my optometrist in Yorkdale and I remembered her excellent care and professionalism. Needless to say, we are very satisfied with all aspects of our experience with Lumina Eye Care Clinic. What a wonderful team of professionals!

The optometry was very informative when I'm asking about the eye sight correction, she explained my concerns about the eye surgery. Friendly staff and experienced optometry. I would recommend this place for getting new pair of eye glasses and for the eye check-ups .
